As the love month comes to an end, here are some special ways to show your customers you care as a businesswoman on the rise:

1. Include a goody bag in their order:

Who doesn’t love receiving extra gifts? You don’t have to go all out and empty your bank account. A thoughtful gift that will put a smile on your customers face is not too much to do. They’ll feel valued by you and they’ll be more likely to become a return customer.

2. Show some love to employees:

Yes, they are your internal customers. Send gifts or notes of appreciation to your staff noting personal traits and talents you appreciate. You can make it grand by having a Valentine luncheon. It’s up to you.

3. Start a benevolence project:

Let your clients see that you also care about the community. Have a fundraising dinner for cancer patients, orphanages, aged homes or another deserving group. Ask customers to bring gifts or make donations. This gives both your clients and employees the feeling that they are part of something bigger. Feature the project in a press release and in stories on your website, social media, email newsletter and blog.

4. Offer holiday promos:

For example, you can decide to offer loyal customers 14 percent off their order or free shipping if they use your post-Valentine’s Day discount code. You can also run holiday-themed promotions or giveaways on your social media.

5. Stick to your brand’s ideals:

This is a very important point you shouldn’t ignore. If your business doesn’t align well with a certain holiday/practice don’t force the issue and risk coming off as insincere and cheesy.
